I am Arto Huhta, the designer and maker behind ArtPlus Design Oy. For me, a good result means something looks good, is understood and works in practice.
AROUND 20 YEARS OF CREATING
It started with drawing
As a young boy, I drew whenever I had the chance. My older brother, who has since passed away, was my idol. His example still inspires me. I always wanted to be as skilled a creator as he was.
He often asked me to draw random lines and curves on paper, without any particular plan. Then he connected them and turned them into a complete picture. I was always amazed at how something so wonderful could emerge from random lines.
I look for that same sense of discovery in my own work. I want to create things that make people pause and think: 'Oh, it can be done this way, too.' I look for new perspectives and enjoy trying approaches that may not be the first to come to mind.
I have worked in visual design and digital communication for around 20 years. My work has included visual identities, publications, websites and videos. Curiosity has also led me into application development: finding ways to bring scattered information together and make repetitive tasks easier.
At ArtPlus, I combine visual design with technical implementation. It matters to me that the finished work both looks good and serves its purpose. I stay involved from the first idea through to the finishing touches, bringing in suitable partners when needed.

I work with clients throughout Finland, both remotely and on site.
Design work and digital projects run smoothly through remote collaboration. For filming, photography and other on-site work, we travel wherever we are needed. Working arrangements and visits are agreed around the project's needs.
